Our 3D diagnostic system is a cutting-edge dental technology that delivers superior quality images of your teeth. It helps them make a diagnosis quickly, easily and accurately. Simply put, 3D scans capture much more data than traditional X-rays. This gives us an in-depth picture of your jaw, mouth and teeth.
We can then use this information to determine whether cavities, abnormal growths or other dental conditions exist -- especially conditions that aren’t evident from a traditional 2D image.
3D imaging capability translates into more precise, more natural-looking dental implants. While traditional 2D imaging is limited in its scope, Dr Caron and its 3D technology can measure things like bone density, which is essential for placing dental implants.
In essence, the more information we have about your mouth, the better your dental implants will look and feel!
How does it work?
One of the best things about 3D imaging system is how comfortable it is for you and how quickly it delivers comprehensive information to us. You will need to stand still for about 14 seconds whileour tool travels around your head and takes about 200 images.
That’s it!
It then takes about two or three minutes for the computers to reconstruct the data and provide a high-resolution images. If you’ve ever had a panoramic X-ray done, your experience with 3D technology won’t be much different.
