First child visit recommendations.
The first visit to the dentist in Dubai can be traumatic for a child because of fear of novelty and if he feels any pain during the treatment.
Once your child is old enough to be able to walk, take him with you when you visit the dentist, for him to have a first friendly contact with the dentist and the dental environment. The dentist will explain what is its role, and this will help your child to feel familiar with the instruments he uses.
At Versailles dental clinic Dubai, at the end of your child s first consultation, the dentist gives personally to your child's hands, a tooth brush, and give a mission to the child :
" This toothbrush is very special one. You have to return it to me after 3 months you have use it daily 3 times under supervision of your mum or dad. I will be very happy to see how well you brush, and to award you with a winner certificate of the "best tooth brusher", and then to give you a new toothbrush".

Dear parents,
- Every day, you must brush your teeth with your child, before breakfast, explaining him in simple words that to pay attention to their teeth every day prevents tooth decay and pain in keeping teeth healthy and bright.
Make your child understands that a good tooth brushing should take some time (3 min ). An hourglass or a timer can help discipline him in a playful manner.
- Once he got used to have good dental hygiene, the dentist will first and foremost have a preventive role.
Prevention is the cure but also reduces fears and anxieties.

- Fear is often transmitted to children by parents who have had bad dental experiences. If you adopt a positive attitude and the experience is trivial, which is fortunately often the case, your child will quickly forgot his fears.

Inside the dental room.
Slowly, carefully, the dentist shows the child how works the dental chair, how it moves, what is this pipe for, what is this instrument noise, etc...
Your child is invited to seat on the chair to feel by himself, and the nurse shows him the bib, the suction pipe, the cup of mouthwash. The child is interested to our equipment, he knows what will be used, and for what it will be made for, and as we all know, if the fear is with the unknown it disappears with the knowledge!
Consultation starts.
First the doctor asks the child to make a funny face to take a picture of him to show him his face on the wide computer screen.
Second the dentist says that he is going to take also pictures of every tooth one by one and the child is usually more than happy to participate, and open a wide mouth !
He can see the potential problems through the pictures displayed on the computer screen, the child sees every step : confidence and mutual trust are met.
Dental care.
At the end of the scanning, the doctor selects the tooth he should start to take care of, always showing what he will do step by step. The dental care session starts.
Injection or no injection?
The image of a syringe is always scaring. That's why this key step needs to be managed with subtlety and softness. Try to hide the syringe to the child will cause the opposite effect to the one expected and would break the trust.
We use small size syringes and ultrathin short needles. In addition, the anesthetics gel is previously applied to ensure the full comfort and a painless injection.
After this fundamental step of treatment, the dental care is performed according to the needs of our little patient.
The doctor always speaks to the child, in calm and relax manner, stops every time is needed and the session is successful.
Technics for dental care for child.
At Versailles dental clinic, depending on each case we use, sealant glaze to avoid decay to start. When decay is shown we use composite (white filling made of ceramic powder) to care. Children like very much to see the result at the end !
Also extraction of primary teeth when needed
We treat also diabetics and autists children.
All solutions are available, included general anaesthesia or sedation in our hospital for patients who can't be treated at the dental chair.
